Abus PURL-Y Helmet
E-bikes and S-pedelecs also bring high speeds to the road outside of cycle racing. NTA-classified helmets such as the PURL-Y are adapted to the new requirements for riding at up to 45 km/h.
But the PURL-Y city helmet is also a good choice on a bike without an auxiliary motor. It combines safety with comfort. The shock-absorbing inner material is firmly bonded to the outer shell using the proven in-mould process. And to ensure that the helmet fits comfortably and securely, it can be adapted individually to different head sizes with the easy-grip and smooth-running adjustment wheel. There is enough space between the adjustment system and the lower edge of the helmet for a ponytail.
The trendy urban helmet with a deep rear end for better protection of the neck area easily adapts to any style thanks to the range of different colour options. A clip-on light is available as an option.
The PURL-Y is ideal when riding swiftly through the city streets: safety that sets standards.
- Ponytail Fit: thanks to the opening in the height-adjustable adjustment system, the helmet is also suitable for long hairstyles such as ponytails, buns, or braids
- Reflector Sticker: for better visibility in the dark
- Bug Mesh: keeps flies and other bugs off your head without messing with the helmet’s ventilation
- Rechargeable, magnetic Rear Light (optional): the separately available light for better visibility is attached to the back of the helmet using magnets and can be charged via a Micro-USB charging cable
- Clip on peak: removable peak attached with pins to protect against sunlight
- Zoom™ Spin adjustment system: rotary wheel at the back of the head for individual adjustment of the helmet to the head size
- Flap Divider™: strap divider for individual adjustment of the straps below the ears – with clamp fastener to fix the set position
- Comfort Pads: soft padded inserts for optimum comfort, attached to the helmet with Velcro
- Removable, washable pads: can be removed and washed by hand or replaced if necessary
- Push-in buckle: for safe and practical handling, the straps are fitted with a classic chin lock (three-pronged connection) for opening and closing
- In-mould process: production process in which the inner cushioning material made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) is foamed directly into the outer shell made of polycarbonate (PC) – this creates a durable and robust connection
